Locations

University of Manchester
Renold's Building
Altrincham St
Manchester
M1 7JA

Manchester University is where Liam Allan will be giving his speech about his charity Innovation of Justice. This will be a big event which we feel like we will need to film for coverage or clips during voiceovers or an intro/ ending.

We were initially going to take the train however that would have been around 70 pounds one way and that was with railcard discount. So we have decided to drive up as a full tank of premium fuel (premium will last longer than regular) is 58 pounds. Our workings out were 2x70 for the railcard traveler and 2x 99 for the non-railcard traveler as well as overnight accommodation as to get there on the same day as we left the time would have to be about 3am and trains do not run at this time. This would total at around 408 pounds as opposed to worst case scenario two tanks of petrol and over night accommodation costing 186 pounds, which only equates to 73 pounds per person.

 Royal Courts of Justice

The royal courts of justice was a location in which we were considering interviewing a barrister or judge on their opinions of evidence disclosure mishandling evidence and incompetence in general regarding the police. However we reached out to a prosecution barrister Jerry Hayes and he said he was willing to be interviewed on the subject and after a few conversations he suggested his place of work, the New Temple Chambers as a possible location for the interview.

New Temple Chambers, Holborn Gate, 330 High Holborn, London WC1V 7QT

We have been here previously visited one of the contributors Jerry Hayes here. It was an office set up and would have been a suitable place for an interview however due to his close connection to our presenter Liam Allan and given the fact he would be another male contributing to this documentary we decided it was best to not keep him.

New Scotland Yard, Victoria Embankment, SW1A 2JL

If we are able to attain a contributor from The Met then we may film their interview outside this building. It is a popular place for news crew to shoot breaking stories about developments in- aw/ policing affairs.

A problem with the exterior of this location would be the traffic noise and possible wind on mics. To counteract this we would use clip mics or request an interior interview.

Jan Cunliffe Home
Due to privacy/ confidentiality reasons I cannot post Jan Cunliffe's address on here, however I can say that she lives in Cheshire. We will be filming her in her living room where there will plenty of natural light as well as plug sockets for atificial lighting

The Forensic Institute, 166 Buchanan St, Glasgow G1 2LW

After speaking with Professor Allan Jamieson he said that he would be more than happy to take part in our documentary and that we could film his interview in his office/ labs in Glasgow.
