George and I have decided that for our pre-production unit we will be constructing a Series for television and streaming services that explore how certain celebrities rose to fame and what their lives were like before entering the spotlight. The first episode (what our pre-production will be about) will be the world-famous magician Dynamo.
Steven Frayne (Dynamo) was born in Bradford, England to an English mother and a father of Pakistani heritage. He was bullied as a child, and one of the first magic tricks he learned was something his grandfather taught him to make it seem as though he was very heavy so that the other kids at school could not pick him up.
Frayne has suffered from Crohn's Disease since he was a teenager and had half of his stomach removed when he was seventeen. It's these sorts of experiences that we would have Frayne talk about and open up to the world about what life is like growing up with Crohn's etc. The aim of this programme isn't just to entertain but it is somewhat of a message to all it's viewers that no matter how famous or big a star you are, you are still only human and it's ok to not be ok.
